The Emergency Department cares for over 34,000 patients a year. The hospital has achieved disease specific certification for its Stroke Program which is designated by NYS as a Gold Plus Center. Job Details
Responsibilities:
- The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintaining patient records and assisting in filling Intravenous antibiotics.
- Filling, trouble shooting and maintain automated dispensing machine.
- Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule.
- Picks up orders, requisitions and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- NYS Pharmacy Technician registration required.
- PTCB or NHA certification required.
- Experience in an acute care facility Pharmacy department strongly preferred
Salary Range
USD $27.01 - USD $27.01 /Hr.
