Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation, dispensing, and repackaging of medications
- Procure medications accurately according to dispensation indicators
- Prepackages and labels medications,
- Maintain and replenish pharmacy automation systems
- Assists in the maintenance of dispensation records
- As directed by pharmacy management or designee, audit, review, file records of controlled substances, ensures compliance with regulations
- Advises nursing and pharmacy administrators of controlled substance discrepancies
- Assists in discrepancy resolution of controlled and non-controlled drugs
- Ensures proper storage of pharmacy inventory and supplies
- Issues controlled substances and prescription pads as per departmental policy under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
- Ensures appropriate inventory on hand at all times and maintains required inventory levels
- Obtains appropriate signatures when issuing/delivering controlled substances and prescription pads
- Conduct medication deliveries as required
- Performs related duties as required
- Maintain continuing education as required
Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
Experience:
- Previous experience as pharmacy technician preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current license as a registered pharmacy technician in New York State, required
- PTCB or NHA certification, required
Weekends availability is required.
Salary Range
USD $29.92 - USD $37.41 /Hr.
