Registrar Responsibilities:
· Gathers complete data necessary to assure timely reimbursement and accurate registrations. Communicates hospital policies, procedures and regulations to patients
· Prepares patient charts, accurately dispositions and scans all relevant paperwork according to hospital policy
· Collects insurance co-payments per department policy
Registrar Requirements:
· Previous registration, medical insurance background, medical terminology experience preferred.
· Excellence in Customer Service, interview and data accumulation skills, excellent computer/keyboard skills and internet skills are required.
· Ability to navigate from one software system to another efficiently.
· High School diploma or equivalent required, some college or equivalent education desirable
