What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN-Charge position at Catholic Health?
Education:Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program. Experience/skills: Minimum of two (2) years of Long Term Care experience preferred. Some supervisory experience preferred.Knowledgeable of Federal and State, and Joint Commission standards as they relate to long term care and sub-acute care, if applicable. Familiar with Federal and State compliance and HIPAA regulations. Licensure:Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.Maintain certificate and competency in CPR (BCLS certificate) Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overseeing the activities of assigned staff to ensure quality care is delivered in accordance with federal, state and local regulations; abide by department policies and procedures and interpret them to ancillary staff, residents and visitors; manage, evaluate and counsel competencies and performance of assigned staff on unit; provide comprehensive quality resident care within the unit and management of unit under the direction of a Unit Manager/NCC and to carry out clerical and professional duties related to resident care.
