The Role:

If this is you, we want you to join our team. CAVA is a rapidly expanding fast-casual restaurant and CPG brand focusing on fresh, Mediterranean-inspired, better-for-you cuisine. Born from our full-service restaurants, our chef-driven fast-casual format is currently in four states with further expansion ahead. We are looking for a Development Coordinator to join the Development Group at CAVA, helping us reach new communities with each new location
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for coordinating with multiple cross-functional partners during pre-lease, design, construction, and close-out for CAVA restaurant projects to meet established deadlines.
- Responsible for assisting design and construction partners with coordinating daily project management activities during construction and close-out phases for the national expansion of CAVA restaurants.
- Track progressive budgets during project execution.
- Perform OSI purchasing for projects - review design documents, perform material take-offs, issue PO’s, validate quotes, review and approve invoices
- Partner with design and procurement teams to execute national vendor strategies, and participate in Vendor interviews, facilities visits as part of RFP process
- Assist Construction Managers in coordinating the GC Bid process - from issuing Request for Quotes, Validating/Negotiating Bids, through final Contract Award.
- Request and coordinate required COI issuance for CAVA prior to construction
- Partner with Design, Architects of Record, and Expediters to ensure building and other permits required for CAVA’s build out are obtained.
- Coordinate the transfer of existing utility accounts, and/or support Construction team with administrative tasks relative to the installation of new utility services.
- As necessary, attend regular construction progress calls for the purpose of coordinating third-party vendor scope of work.
- Coordinate Coming Soon Signage with Marketing, Operations and Construction; obtain necessary Landlord approvals.
- Partner with Operations & Legal team to apply and submit for health permits.
- Partner with Operations to apply and submit for business licenses, conduct necessary research of all jurisdictional requirements for sales tax to be provided to accounting.
- Compile packages and request TI Allowance credits from landlords; track and coordinate invoice and final amounts with accounting, CM, and REM
- Work with Construction Managers to ensure openings are successfully executed with minimal outstanding items.
- Coordinate with Operations team in scheduling delivery of loose equipment and/or goods required to commence staff training and open for operations.
- Support Operations/Facilities teams in executing construction warranty work, ensure all items are addressed and closed out in a timely manner.
- Update & maintain development tracker generate weekly vendor reports & utilities logs.
- Maintain detailed files for all projects in accordance with CAVA filing standards.
- Support Construction Managers in project close-out administration, including but not limited to - ensuring Entitlements for individual projects are obtained and all permits are fully closed-out, obtain a complete and accurate set of as-built drawings, with appropriate documentation in CAVA files and/or on site as applicable.
The Qualifications:
- Professional college degree, (Business Administration or Project Management a plus)
- Minimum 2 years of post-collegiate experience in a coordinator or administrative role (in Development or Procurement/Purchasing field a plus).
- Ability to read/interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documents.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with general contractors, specialty vendors, and other professionals providing services for development projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and Excel
- Capable of supporting multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience using cloud-based Project Management Platforms (such as Procore, Tririga, Lucernex), a plus
- Ability to use AutoCAD, Bluebeam a plus
- Ability to travel up to 10%
