Overview
The Talent Coordinator is responsible for providing HR support to the organization in all areas, including, but not limited to : employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment / employment, and employment law compliance. This position reports directly to the Manager of Talent Development. The Talent Coordinator must have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the “Cavender’s Culture” and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
- Oversee transactions related to onboarding of new associates, status changes for existing associates, and terminations
- Support the recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt associates
- Partner with leadership to review, revise, and write job descriptions aligned with company standards and compliant with federal, state and local requirements
- Evaluate and provide input on rewards and recognition programs
- Partner with HR team to maintain HR records and ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Respond to associate inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures, and provide guidance and support to associates and managers on HR-related issues
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and programs to support organizational goals
- Plan and conduct new hire orientation to familiarize associates with company policies and practices and assure alignment with company values
- Ensure company-wide compliance with USCIS Form I-9
- Coordinate the administrative activities of the HR department
- Other projects and duties as assigned
