We’re looking for a Third-Party Risk Manager to lead the assessment and oversight of vendors critical to our payment operations—ensuring our partners meet the highest standards of compliance, reliability, and performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and enhance the Third-Party Risk Management Policy (TPRMP) with a focus on payment-related vendors and partnerships
- Lead due diligence and ongoing monitoring of third parties involved in payment processing, program management, issuing, settlement, and fraud tools
- Maintain and regularly update the risk profiles of key payment service providers, adjusting risk ratings based on business impact and compliance posture
- Ensure complete and organized documentation of third-party payment providers, including contracts, risk assessments, and regulatory materials
- Stay up to date on industry regulations and expectations related to payment systems (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, UDAAP, BSA/AML), and implement required changes to policies and processes
- Collaborate with compliance, product, and operations teams to ensure third-party payment solutions meet regulatory and operational standards
- Conduct on-site or virtual reviews of critical third-party payment partners as needed to validate performance and adherence to Central Payments’ standards
- Draft and deliver risk assessments to executive leadership, identifying key risks related to payments and third-party engagements
- Lead and mentor third-party risk analysts, particularly in payment-specific risk domains
- Support other risk and compliance initiatives as assigned

What You Bring:
- Deep understanding of third-party risk in payments, banking-as-a-service (BaaS), and fintech ecosystems
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to payments (e.g., FFIEC, PCI DSS, Reg E, BSA/AML)
- Ability to assess and communicate complex risk scenarios involving payment platforms and vendors
- Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- A proactive, relationship-driven mindset that works well across internal and external teams
- Leadership experience in mentoring and developing risk team members
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management, preferably with a focus on payment processing or fintech
- Third Party Risk Professional Certification (CTPRP) preferred
