POSITION: Emergency Medical Services Manager
DEPARTMENT: Emergency Services
HOURS: Full-time/Exempt
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for coordinating and supervising all Ambulance, Emergency Medical Services, and Community Paramedic operations.
EDUCATION/TRANING:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Emergency Medical services or related field is preferred, or 5 years of experience in Emergency Services as an EMT, Paramedic, or higher level. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
SKILL(S):
- Interpersonal skills necessary to direct, guide, and instruct Emergency Medical Services personnel
- Oversees training activities and staff schedules
- Ability to utilize verbal and written communication skills to address external and internal customers
- Expertise in negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, and influencing people
- Proficient in analyzing, evaluating, integrating, compiling, and comparing data and information
- Skilled in policy and procedure development
- Adept in active listening, conflict management, and team building skills
- Proficient in planning, organizing, delegation, and communicating departmental goals and work plans as they relate to the overall mission of the Trauma Program and CCM Health
- Capacity to manage daily challenges in a rural health care setting
- Demonstrated effective presentation skills, written communication, and computer skills
This position requires the ability to identify age related differences within the persons served and the adjustment of treatment style and expectations as appropriate, including adjustments based on the person's served cognitive function and learning ability. This will include considering their religious and cultural needs and preferences.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Five or more years of experience in area of expertise. Minimum of five years of leadership experience.
