Job Description: CCS is seeking a motivated, deadline-driven Proposal Writer to work with a New York-based Executive team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Executive team, managing new leads from ideation to contract and ensuring that all team executives have the materials and preparation they need to conduct successful business development and sales meetings. A critical component of this role is to produce compelling, consistent, creative, and professional proposals, RFPs, and presentations that differentiate CCS from our competitors. Please note that this is not a sales or lead generating position.

Ideal candidates will possess excellent writing, communication, research, and design skills to contribute to the development of sales materials and resources. The candidate is also comfortable reporting to multiple executives, and capable of meeting set deadlines and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment. Prior experience with RFPs, proposals, and client relationship management databases are a plus. Responsibilities:

  • Write and design sales proposals, presentations, and other supporting materials, in coordination with the Executive Team. This process can include, but is not limited to:
    • Establishing internal deadlines to guide daily activity
    • Working with the Executive Team to strategize next steps for individual institutions in the sales pipeline process
    • Supporting the final editing, formatting, and distribution of sales, marketing, and operational materials
    • Working with team executives to establish scope of work, fees, and other key elements of all sales proposals
  • Manage sales pipeline for Team Executives
    • Review sales pipeline at least weekly with Executives, noting and facilitating follow-up
  • Prepare sales decks and other materials, ensuring all Team Executives are prepared for upcoming sales meetings in a timely manner
  • Attend sales meetings with Team Executives and manage follow-up
  • Draft thank-you and follow-up correspondence for Team Executives
  • Work with team NetSuite coordinator to ensure NetSuite info is up-to-date
  • Complete new leads info forms
  • Complete client briefing forms in advance of sales meetings
  • Establish and maintain proposal templates
  • Liaise with proposal writers across the firm to understand trends and continually enhance materials
  • Ensure follow-up on Web leads
  • Additional tasks as needed to support the sale process

Skills Required:

  • Excellent writing and visualization skills
  • Thorough proofreading skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Creative presentation design experience - experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Publisher, and other graphic design programs a plus but not required
  • Ability to balance myriad tasks and deadlines efficiently
  • Advanced research skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team

This position is located in New York with limited to no travel. The candidate will work remotely until the CCS New York offices re-opens, with potential for hybrid of remote work longer term.
