What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intervention Specialist (7&8 Grade Math) position at Cecelia Snyder Middle School?
Bensalem Township School District is seeking to hire a Middle School Math Intervention Specialist to provide tiered mathematics interventions to students. Begining 2025-2026 SY. This is a full-time permanent position.
Required Qualifications:
- PA Certification in Middle Level Math or Math 7-12
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with RTI/MTSS framework (preferred)
- Experience with data management system for progress monitoring and assesment (preferred)
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Provide Tiered interventions in Math
- Provide progress assessment, progress monitoring, and observational data on students receiving tiered interventions.
- Analyze data from multiple sources to determine student strengths and needs.
- Facilitate the Tiered Intervention process ensuring students move fluidly between levels based on strengths/needs.
- Work with Math Colleagues and Administration to review documentation and monitor as part of the MTSS team/process to ensure students have received proper Tier I interventions prior to being recommended for Tier II intervention.
- Participate in meetings with principal/asst. principal, teachers, curriculum coordinator, and supervisor as needed
Required Skills:
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an MTSS team and with diverse student population.
