What you’ll do:
To perform and assure the maintenance and general facility upkeep needs.
- Perform needed carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Perform, repair, and maintenance work on vehicle and lawn equipment.
- Assist with moving facility and resident furniture and belongings.
- Complete special projects.
- Share "on-call" maintenance response responsibilities.
- Perform maintenance functions for extended periods of time in extreme heat and cold.
- Maintain Sewage Treatment Plant, Fire Safety Equipment and Back-up Electrical Generator.
- Assist outside contractors.
- Assist in the areas of material estimation & procurement.
- May include lawn work and snow removal.
- May include occasional supervisory duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What sets you apart:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or any combination of education, experience, and skills which would demonstrate the ability to perform the job responsibilities.
- Valid Indiana or Kentucky driver’s license.
- 3 years of related experience is preferred. Broad-based skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or heating/air conditioning are required. Specialized skills in one or more of the trades (or a combination) are preferred.
What your typical schedule looks like:
- Full-time, hourly. May include occasional weekends and evenings to meet facility needs.
