Position Overview:
The Maintenance & Grounds Supervisor is responsible for the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of all buildings, facilities, outdoor spaces, and the swimming pool at Cedar Lodge & Settlement. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes performing maintenance tasks, supervising groundskeeping activities, and coordinating day-to-day and seasonal operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the property, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily work of maintenance and grounds staff, including scheduling, training, and quality control.
- Oversee all landscaping and lawn care, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and irrigation maintenance.
- Maintain the swimming pool and spa area:
- Test and balance water chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity).
- Clean filters, skimmers, and pool surfaces regularly.
- Inspect and maintain pool pumps and equipment.
- Ensure the pool area meets all safety and cleanliness standards.
- Manage seasonal tasks such as snow removal, fall cleanup, and pool opening/closing.
- Keep maintenance logs and ensure proper documentation of inspections, repairs, and water testing.
- Order supplies, tools, and materials as needed; track inventory and manage maintenance budgets in coordination with management.
- Respond to guest service calls or urgent maintenance issues as needed, including occasional after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in property maintenance with supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of pool systems and chemical balancing (CPO certification a plus).
- Skilled in general repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physical labor.
- Proficient with basic tools, machinery, and maintenance software or checklists.
- Valid driver’s license required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
