Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Specialist to join our Functional Medicine Clinic. As a Medical Office Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinic by providing administrative support to our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical procedures
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
- Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Assist healthcare providers with patient care as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment
This position is full-time working 4.5 days per week, 8a-5p. No weekends. No holidays. CVMS offers a competitive benefit package to include health, vision, and dental insurance. 401K-match. Profit sharing opportunities available.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge of medical terminology
