Director of Nursing
At

achieve these goals. We are seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing for our Northville location.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct all day-to-day functions of Assisted Living and Memory Care units in accordance with applicable community, federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest degree of quality care is provided residents.
- Represents Assisted Living and Memory Care units both internally and to the public including governmental agencies, third party payers, and the general population.
- Works collaboratively with department managers
concerning level of care transitions and general communication as well as all
other interactions that promote an efficient and effective overall community
operation.
- Assists with the development and administration of the Assisted Living and Memory Care unit’s overall budget process to ensure accurate forecasting of expenses and cost control.
- Ensures adequate financial records and reports are prepared and submitted to administration, as required.
- Makes certain that an adequate number of appropriately trained professional and auxiliary staff are on duty at all times to meet the needs of the residents.
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with the local medical profession and other health related organizations through formal working and transfer agreements.
- Supervises Assisted Living and Memory Care employees including coordinating and approving time off, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, and directing and managing department workflow.
- Manages people effectively by taking responsibility for subordinates' activities; Makes his or herself available to staff; Provides regular performance feedback; Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth; Improves processes, products and services.
- Provides leadership by exhibiting confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well.
Educational/Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Nursing, Healthcare or related field
- Previous experience in supervising at a Senior Living community in Assisted Living/Memory Care
- Must be licensed as an LPN in the State of Michigan
