We're looking for :
- Experienced receptionist with a minimum of 1 year experience (veterinary experience preferred).
- Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker and strong communicator.
- Highly organized and possess computer skills.
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skill set.
- Professional in presentation and demeanor .
- We are willing to train the right individual!
Education:
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent (Required)

Skills:
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Assistant and/or Receptionist (or similar position).
- Experience in an administrative role is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of word processing and Cornerstone and / or Neo a plus!
- Patient and compassionate personality.
- Ability to follow instructions properly.
- Comfortable being around animals (cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets, pocket pets...etc.) and willing to help clean up the messes they can make!
- Ability to build a rapport with clients and fellow team members.
Additional duties:
- Scheduling appointments
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families
- Assisting with administrative tasks as they arise (e.g. answering phones, scanning, faxing, copying, organizing)
- Maintaining accurate patient records and providing patient education (i.e., patient charts, medication changes, etc.)
- Maintaining the highest standards for animal care (e.g., handling of animals, hospital cleanliness, etc.)
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks at once.
- Must be able to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the clinic (evenings and weekends required).
- Must have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
- Must be able to follow instructions and learn new skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
