Cedarwood Engineering Services PLLC is seeking to hire a Senior Civil or Environmental Engineer at our main office in Saratoga Springs, NY or our other office location in Watertown, NY. With a focus on civil, municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater projects, you’ll lead the full project lifecycle while also mentoring younger staff, managing technical work, visiting job sites, upkeep client relationships and solving problems that truly matter.

We’ve been in business since 2011, with new ownership since 2020, and a recent merger with another firm at the start of 2025. Our projects are 100% municipal—no residential work, no fluff. Just meaningful infrastructure work across New York State.

🌎 What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage civil, water, wastewater, and stormwater projects for villages, towns, cities, and counties

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and engineering technicians

• Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies

• Travel regularly to project sites. This role is hands-on and client focused

• Tackle challenges in the field and in the office with equal energy

🎯What We’re Looking For:

• 8–15 years of experience in civil and/or environmental engineering (municipal focus)

• Licensed PE in New York (or ability to obtain)

• Strong background in civil/water/wastewater/stormwater systems

• Confidence in leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.

• Willing to travel to job sites, get dirty, and ensure things get done right

• Strong communication, technical writing and organizational skills
