They are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support the accounting function across multiple properties and related entities. This role is ideal for someone with real estate or property accounting experience who enjoys ownership, accuracy, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for assigned properties and entities
- Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Record and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, and tenant charges
- Maintain accurate tenant ledgers, rental schedules, and lease abstract details
- Assist with CAM reconciliations, operating expense reviews, and annual budget preparation
- Process journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities
- Support external audits, tax filings, and lender reporting requests
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience in real estate or property accounting
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience working with accounting or property management systems
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
