The Administrative Clerk provides general administrative and operational support to the Medical Case Management team. This role assists with billing-related tasks, care coordination support, and patient communication, helping improve workflow efficiency and ensure timely follow-up activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with Quest Diagnostics billing reconciliation, including reviewing reports, identifying discrepancies, and supporting resolution efforts
- Support prior authorization processes, including tracking requests and following up as needed
- Assist with outbound hospital discharge follow-up calls, including outreach based on established call lists
- Complete outbound call list activities as assigned
- Respond to inbound calls when time allows, directing inquiries appropriately
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and other tracking systems
- Communicate with internal teams (clinical, case management, billing) to support coordination of services
- Provide general administrative support to the Medical Case Management team as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, organizational policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer service setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn electronic systems
Preferred:
- Experience in a healthcare, community health, or clinical environment
- Familiarity with billing processes, insurance, or prior authorizations
- Experience with EHR systems

Classification: Non-exempt; $22-$23 per hour.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
