Looking for an dedicated & driven Full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in-person for a school-based assignment in Richmond, CA to join our team in treating and assisting with caseload management for students grades K-8. Inclusive charter school site, supportive SLP, collaborative team & staff, easy & below average caseload size – it’s a perfect position!
Celebrations Speech Group is a private practice and Non-Public Agency with decades of experience providing quality special education and therapy services to children with special needs in schools, homes, and in-clinic. Responsibilities:
- Implement direct therapy and treatment plans under the supervision of an SLP.
- Document and store treatment plans and progress reports.
- Update student progress twice yearly.
- Assist in scheduling IEP meetings and maintaining speech files.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- REQUIRED: Current California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License
- Associate's Degree in Speech Pathology or a Bachelor’s in Communication Disorders.
- Ability to build rapport with staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive and collaborative demeanor.
- Must have a strong desire to work with a wide array of populations
- Exercise good judgment in prioritization - complete assigned tasks without supervision
- Ability to build rapport with staff
