Position: Quality Engineer – DIRECT HIRE
Wage:$85k; flexible based on experience
Shift: 1st Shift
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and guidance to Manufacturing, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to reduce defect rates
- Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Ensures the appropriate quality plans are developed, implemented, and followed
- Develops and administers quality-related project plans and schedules
- Provides technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates
- Serves as a liaison between vendors and management to identify quality issues and develop solutions
- Review and approve supplier PPAP documentation
- Creates internal PPAP documentation
- Assessing quality plans and product designs
- Reviewing test and other performance data
- Analyses of market feedback
- Performed independent technical assessment on product quality performance and post-market product quality analysis
- Works with the Design Team/Product Engineers/Quality Manager to understand and create quality control objectives
- Executes risk management activities, product failure rate, and reliability estimations
Quality Engineer Requirements:
- Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
- High degree of initiative, self-motivation and ability to motivate others
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, engineering highly preferred
- Experience independently producing and completing quality engineering documents
- Experience working on issues of diverse scope where analysis of a situation or of data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
- Experience managing quality engineering milestones for 3-5 new products per year
- Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
