What You’ll Do
As a Policy Writer, you’ll support organizational leadership by developing impactful materials and ensuring alignment with DoD standards. Key responsibilities include:
- White Paper Creation: Craft concise, 1-2 page documents that succinctly outline critical information leadership needs—no binders full of materials required.
- Meeting Preparation: Develop read-ahead materials for organizational leadership to ensure they’re ready for key discussions with DoD leadership.
- Strategic Messaging: Write talking points to help leadership steer meetings toward organizational goals.
- Policy Communication: Prepare polished PowerPoint briefs that effectively convey policy updates and strategic plans through well-crafted words and visuals.
- Meeting Documentation: Take detailed notes during meetings, capturing key points and deliverables to ensure actionable follow-up.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Write and refine SOPs to maintain continuity with DoD and organizational standards.
- Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years within the last 2 years.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in a related field—or substitute with 4 additional years of experience (for a total of 12 years).
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI with In-Scope Counterintelligence Polygraph is required.
