PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform procurement activities to support the business including buying for direct and indirect purchases. Monitor and document supplier performance to ensure highest levels of service and supply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the person will:

• Prepare and release Purchase Orders for direct and indirect purchases.
• Work with suppliers on on-time delivery, cost, and quality.
• Expedite purchase order receipts as needed.
• Communicate delays of orders to appropriate internal staff.
• Assist Receiving and Accounting in reconciling order receipts and invoices.
• Support Engineering, Service, and other internal customers on quoting parts.
• Align material delivery plan to production schedule
• Prepare and analyze proposals, quotations, and bids to determine vendor award

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (Preferred).
• 3 years related experience in Purchasing or Manufacturing / Materials Planner role (Preferred).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel & Outlook (Required).
• Attention to detail with exceptional follow through skills (Required).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (Required).
