Bus Aide Substitute

Location & Hours

• Location: CenClear’s Preschool Center located in Hyde, PA
• Bus Route: Hyde Bus Run, departing and returning to the Hyde Preschool Center
• Work Schedule: This position is on an as-needed basis, with hours that may vary based on coverage needs. Opportunities to substitute in other areas may be available.
• Annual Schedule: Hours will primarily be during the school year, with mandatory trainings during the summer months.

Compensation

• The position is compensated on an hourly basis at $14.21

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience working with young children
• Documented good physical health
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Responsibilities

• This individual will provide coverage for the Hyde Center during the absence of the Bus Aide and report to the Transportation Manager.
• Work with children aged 3 to 5
• Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus safely
• Ensure children are properly buckled in their seat belts
• Follow assigned bus route and schedule for pick-up and drop-off
• Collaborate with the bus driver to maintain a safe and orderly environment
• Communicate with parents as needed regarding transportation arrangements
• Completes and submits paperwork within the required timeframes

Physical Requirements

• Operate a motor vehicle.
• Reach overhead.
• Lift and carry objects over fifty (50) pounds.
• Climb ladders and steps.
• Bend to reach objects from the floor.
• Stand for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
• Vision and hearing within normal limits.
• Operate power equipment according to guidelines.
