Make a difference - join our friendly and dedicated team of staff working to intervene in and prevent intimate partner violence. Center for Advancing Domestic Peace seeks a full-time Intake Assessor/ Partner Abuse Intervention Group Facilitators. We seek female and male counselors as we have male/female group co-facilitation teams. Requires in-person and virtual in Chicago and Lombard, IL offices.
Seeking a full-time, 40 hours per week counselor. Duties include completing comprehensive individual domestic violence assessments and co-facilitating partner abuse intervention groups for up to 15 participants, completing necessary documentation and reports, and providing case management. Intake Assessors and group facilitation team members needed for day, evening and Saturday groups in Chicago and Lombard. Intake Assessors have much flexibility to set their schedule while group times are set.
Candidates for these positions should be available for evening and/or Saturday work. Wage negotiable based on experience and training, and references are required. Preference given to candidates who have already completed the required 40 hours of domestic violence counseling and 20 hours of partner abuse intervention training. However, training will be provided for eligible candidates.
Illinois CPAIP certification and/or experience working with victims and/or perpetrators of domestic violence is very desirable. A social work or other counseling degree, or other relevant experience is required with bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
