Job description:
The Center for Developing Minds (CDM), created by Damon Korb, M.D., is seeking a full-time employee to join our energetic and motivated administrative team! CDM is a specialized clinic located in Los Gatos, CA, focused on developmental and behavioral pediatrics. CDM provides compassionate care to children and young adults facing behavior challenges, learning difficulties, attention issues, social skill deficits, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and psychological conditions.

Hours:
Center for Developing Minds operations take place between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, M-F. Work is conducted in person at our Los Gatos office and we are looking for support between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM with one evening shift per week extending to 6:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver courteous, confident, and confidential customer service to clients across a wide range of requests.
- Multitask in a customer service environment: including, but not limited to, answering phone calls, managing the schedule of 10-25 clinicians, greeting and checking-in guests for appointments, and accurately processing invoices and payments.
- Assisting clinicians and office manager(s) with various needs according to the CDM "Pyramid of Priority."
- Maintain meticulous accuracy of the Electronic Medical Record throughout various patient care needs: including, but not limited to, appointment check-in, appointment scheduling, medication refill requests, and medical record information requests.
- Assist with more specific patient care needs as requested: including, but not limited to Insurance Prior Authorizations, New Patient Intake Phone Appointments, and General Pharmacy Troubleshooting.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience with medical billing and insurance.
- Strong digital literacy skills: including, but not limited to, proficiency with Google Suite products, Microsoft Office, and typing speed 40 wpm.
- Effective communication skills: including, but not limited to, legible penmanship, proper grammar when writing and speaking, and the ability to relate to parents and children
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to follow proper procedures and ask questions when something does not make sense.
- Demonstrated IT skills and experience.
- Prior experience with Charm EHR is preferred, but not required.
About the Center for Developing Minds: The Center for Developing Minds is an interdisciplinary, developmental and behavioral pediatric practice. Our staff provides care for children and young adults with developmental variations such as: behavior issues, learning difficulties, attention problems, autism spectrum disorders, developmental delays, and psychological disorders. Our staff includes physicians, nurse practitioners, educational psychologists, therapists, executive function coaches, and early childhood specialists.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
