CHD is seeking a dynamic professional Assistant Program Director to oversee the Terri Thomas Girls Program in Springfield, MA. The program supports justice involved youth in Western Mass. The Assistant Program Director will be responsible for supervising direct care staff and program supervisors in a secure residential setting. This setting includes supporting the behavioral and emotional needs of a female population involved with the Department of Youth Services.
Responsibilties include
- Creating and maintaining the weekly staffing schedule which includes ensuring staffing coverage of the program 24/7.
- Must work at least one late night shift per week, some weekends and holidays to support this coverage as well as on-call responsibilities.
- Support staff members with medication administration, safety checks and documentation into State web based platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelors required and 3 years experience in criminal justice and or human service related field with a focus on 24-hour residential treatment.
- Clear knowledge of working with female offenders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment.
- The optimal candidate will demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm for the mission, goals and objectives of the agency as well as demonstrated experience in managing complex budgets, personnel issues, and service delivery needs of clients.
Salary range
$63,000 - $67,000 annually depending on experience.
