New Haven, CT Full Time

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurofeedback Clinician position at Center for NeuroPotential?

Exciting Opportunity for a Licensed Clinician to Provide Neurofeedback Check-Ins! No prior experience is necessary!

JOIN OUR TEAM OF DYNAMIC EXPERTS!

Are you feeling burned out from your current caseload? Do you want to reduce your therapy caseload while still maintaining clinical contact with clients? Are you interested in how the brain effects our emotions and behaviors?

If you answered yes to any of the above, this position might be ideal for you!

We are seeking a Connecticut licensed LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or psychologist to provide clinical check-ins to our neurofeedback patients. Our technicians run the actual session, while the clinician does brief check-ins to monitor symptoms and progress. There is also the opportunity to carry a small therapy caseload. This is a part-time position, with the opportunity to expand to full-time. Ideally, the clinician would be available from 3:00 - 7:00 pm Monday-Thursday, 2:00 - 5:00 Fridays, and eventually Saturdays 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. This is a primarily on-site position with some limited opportunities for telehealth.

Our neurofeedback clients range in age from children to older adults. With neurofeedback training, we help improve symptoms related to ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, autism, learning disabilities, and more. Neurofeedback is also used for "peak performance", and we also help athletes improve their focus and performance.

If you are interested in becoming board-certified in Neurofeedback, we can provide the consultation hours towards certification.

Clients are highly motivated to heal. Each potential new patient is screened during a phone consultation to ensure that we are a good fit for them and that they are a good fit for the practice. Because of this screening, our clinicians have a high retention rate and are able to successfully treat and discharge patients. We do not offer 24-hour coverage and refer out individuals with acute suicidal ideation and active substance abuse.

Please note, this is not a temporary or short-term position. We are looking for clinicians who want the Center for NeuroPotential to be their "clinical home" where they can grow and flourish professionally.

Growth Mindset, Respect, and Transformative Change. These are just three of the values that we put into action with our clinicians and clients. The Center for NeuroPotential is a leading-edge group practice that supports and values our employees and clients. We foster a uniquely supportive work environment encouraging our therapists to work together providing peer support in addition to weekly consultation.
