JOB TITLE: Radiologic Technologist
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To provide the highest level of service to Center for Orthopaedics' Imaging Center patients. Prepares and performs standard Radiologic examinations on patients while maintaining ALARA. Operates X-ray equipment and Bone Density Scanner (DEXA), process images, prepares patient rooms, maintains supplies and medications, and completes all documentation. Hours for this full time position are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm .
SUPERVISION REQUIRED: Administrator
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: This position does not supervise any employees.

Essential Functions
- Perform X-ray procedures as ordered by referring providers.
- Performs Bone Density Scans (DEXA) as ordered by referring providers.
- Ensure that the patient's and physician's needs are met.
- Ensure that all duties are performed in an efficient manner and in compliance with regulations.
- Completes all procedures in PACS and ensures that all images are of good quality.
- Assist MRI Technologist screen and assist patients as needed.
- Monitor equipment performance and notifies the supervisor of any repair assistance needed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- ARRT registered and LA state license required
- Bachelor Degree preferred
