What are the responsibilities and job description for the Martial Arts Instructor position at Center Stage Academy?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an After-School Chess Teacher for Kids. If you have a love for martial arts and enjoy working with children, this is an exciting opportunity to share your expertise and foster a love for the game among young minds.
Martial Arts Instruction: Provide engaging and age-appropriate martial arts instruction to preschool and elementary students.
Lesson Planning: Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to varying skill levels and ages, making chess accessible and enjoyable for all participants.
Skill Development: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages strategic thinking, fine and gross motor skill movement, and sportsmanship.
Play through games: Organize and supervise games and objectives, creating an atmosphere that promotes mastery of skills and teamwork.
Progress monitoring: Assess and track the progress of each student, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.
Ideal candidate will possess the following skills
Martial Arts Expertise: A strong understanding of martial arts strategies and tactics. Previous experience in teaching martial arts is preferred.
Pedagogical Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and teach martial arts concepts to children, adapting teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
Passion for Education: Enthusiasm for working with children and a commitment to fostering their intellectual and social development through sports and fitness.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact positively with students, and fellow staff members.
Preference for candidates that have
1. Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational
3. Availability for after-school hours on weekdays most likely from 3-5pm.
Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience.
