Overview:

As the Behavioral Coach on the team you will work with youth and their families within the community for a duration of 6 - 9 months. You will be responsible for providing behavioral-based interventions to support youth in identifying effective replacement coping strategies. The Behavioral Coach advocates for the youth's mental health needs during treatment reviews and other service provider meetings.
ABOUT TBS
Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is a new service in Idaho! TBS is a specialized mental health program that support clients with behaviors that place the youth at risk of hospitalization or a higher level of care. TBS is a short-term, intensive service that focuses on transferring skills to caregivers for long-term success. Service are provided in the community including, but not limited to schools and family homes. The program involves one-on-one therapeutic support to help clients and their caregivers develop effective behavior management skills. Behavioral Coaches teach adaptive behaviors, such as communication and self-soothing skills, and work closely with caregivers to sustain progress and ensure the client's ongoing success.

CenterPointe is dedicated to providing outstanding mental health, community-based, and educational services. CenterPointe opened its doors in 2003 with the vision to provide continuity of care for families and their children by providing a wide variety of services so that the needs of each child could be met. We provide therapeutic behavioral services (TBS) to children and teens throughout Canyon County and Ada County.
Responsibilities
- Maintain caseload of 1-3 clients, with an age range of 5-17 years of age
- Implement culturally sensitive, coaching and behaviorally focused mental health support services
- Participate in treatment reviews, Individualized Education Plan meetings or other family meetings when needed
- Complete required paperwork, including behavioral assessments, treatment plans, and other documentation
- Ensure timely submission of all program and agency paperwork
- Maintain client charts and records to meet internal and county standards
- Maintain regular communication with the treatment team
- Engage in weekly individual supervision sessions
- Attend staff meetings/trainings as required
Qualifications
- REQUIRED must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a human service field, such as psychology, social work, counseling, education, etc.
- Must be willing to complete the training course for Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) (provided by company)
- Must be willing to complete the training course to become CPR/First Aid Certified (provided by company), Crisis Prevention Intervention Certified (provided by company)
- Complete regular professional training
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must pass an extensive background check and fingerprinting through the Department of Health & Welfare
- Must have a valid Idaho Driver’s License, proof of automobile insurance, and meet the Agency’s safe driver guidelines
Preferred:
- Experience in working with system-involved children and their families
- Strong critical-thinking
Schedule:
- Part-Time; after school, and early evenings as needed.
- Monday to Friday with availability on Saturday as needed

- Starting wage: $30 per hour
- Compensation range: $30-$35 per hour
