We are seeking skilled Phlebotomists to work weekdays 8 AM - 7 PM for our Laboratory located in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of prior experience and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing blood from patients using proper equipment and techniques.
- Interviewing and preparing patients for the blood draw.
- Following strict precautionary safety procedures to limit risk of contact with potentially infectious blood and other bodily fluids.
- Accurately identifying patients and recording their information.
- Collecting and processing COVID-19 tests.
Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
- Understanding of standard blood drawing practices and procedures.
- 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication.
