Job Title: Associate, Capital Markets (Business Development)

Job Overview

The Capital Markets Associate is responsible for supporting the business development, investor relations, and consultant relations efforts of the CenterSquare team spanning the firm’s private equity real estate, private debt real estate, and listed real estate strategies. The position requires a highly motivated professional to contribute to a team atmosphere, working to provide support and partnership to relationship managers in their effort to expand, maintain, and develop new opportunities. The position will be based in CenterSquare’s headquarters office located in Conshohocken, PA.

Roles & Responsibilities

Prospecting & Market Intelligence (30%)

  • Conduct detailed prospect research for listed real estate and private equity real estate strategies, helping to identify and prioritize new relationship opportunities.
  • Perform ongoing competitor analysis, including evaluation of external managers, strategy positioning, performance trends, and competitive advantages.
  • Assist in developing actionable territory plans and coverage strategies across assigned regions.

Client, Consultant & Prospect Engagement (30%)

  • Participate in consultant calls, assisting relationship managers with preparation, follow-up, and insight gathering.
  • Participate in prospect calls and help manage next steps, materials, and follow-up items.
  • Manage and respond to inbound prospect requests, ensuring timely and accurate information is delivered.

Client Materials & Content Development (20%)

  • Assist with the coordination of client portfolio reviews, ensuring all materials are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
  • Contribute to content development for sales presentations, particularly for the listed real estate strategy, including updating slides, charts, and messaging.
  • Support ad hoc presentation and data requests from relationship managers and senior leadership.

Sales & Reporting Infrastructure (10%)

  • Maintain and update Salesforce dashboards, including accounts, contacts, activity tracking, investment details, and pipeline information.
  • Capture, integrate, and maintain data to support improved visibility and reporting across territories.

RFPs, RFIs, and Due Diligence (10%)

  • Assist with the completion of RFPs, including preparing first drafts and coordinating internal inputs.
  • Proactively source RFP opportunities related to the firm’s listed real estate strategies.
  • Support the preparation of RFIs and DDQs for existing public-side clients, collaborating with investment, risk, operations, and compliance teams as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in real estate or finance-related field required
  • Approximately 1-3 years of experience in financial services firm; knowledge of investment management, private equity and investor relations a plus
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong PowerPoint skills preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize and execute effectively
  • Series 7 and 63 licensing is required though it can be attained in the first 6 months in the position
