Centiva Capital is seeking an experienced Benefits and Payroll Specialist to join the Human Resources team. This individual will report into the Head of HR and manage benefits administration and employee compensation including payroll processing, inquiries, and compliance. They should have a strong understanding of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and FSA plans. Additionally, they should have a knowledge of domestic and global payroll processes.


Job Description


Benefits Administration

  • Support implementation of new HRIS system (UKG)
  • Administer employee benefits plans (health, dental, 401K, FSA, etc.). 
  • Manage open enrollment, employee changes, and terminations in benefits plans including COBRA
  • Conduct employee education sessions and presentations

Payroll Processing

  • Support implementation of new payroll system
  • Process salaries, bonuses, and other compensation for US and global offices
  • Accurately calculate payroll deductions (taxes, insurance, retirement contributions)
  • Handle payroll related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Handle check reversals and ensure accurate adjustments of clawbacks
  • Review and process W2s

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and tax obligations
  • Understand and stay current with payroll regulations and tax requirements
  • Work with auditors to ensure compliance during payroll audits
  • Prepare payroll reports for various purposes, including tax reporting and management

Additional Duties

  • Assist with employee inquiries related to HRIS system and benefits
  • Process leaves of absence and paid-time-off paperwork
  • Update and send quarterly deferred compensation statements


Qualifications/Required Experience/Skills

·        Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or other related field required 

  • 3-4 years of experience in related areas in payroll, benefits, and HRIS
  • Research and analytical skills to gather and interpret data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
