What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Consultant position at Central Bancompany?
This hourly position has a base pay with the possibility of earning commission.
Assist travel agency customers with all aspects of travel arrangements. Those aspects to include researching vacation options, accurately describing travel destinations, products and services along with pricing structures, making reservations for all facets of travel (air, hotel, ground transportation, tours, cruises and travel insurance).
Access information about costs, routes and schedules from computerized reservation systems, telephone and the Internet.
Calculate and prepare invoice for customers, accept customer payments and ensuring payment is sent to the supplier.
Issue required documentation such as electronic tickets, travel insurance policies and itineraries.
Timely communication of all changes to travel plans to both the traveler and the supplier partner ensuring a seamless transaction from start to finish.
Servicing customers before, during and after travel, offering exceptional customer service efficiently and effectively to maintain customer loyalty.
Handle stressful situations calmly, pleasantly and with patience.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Travel agency experience preferred
Excellent sales skills
Knowledge of worldwide geography
Travel experience and completion of travel related coursesare a plus
Proficient in the use of technology to include PC's/Internet/cell phones/apps
Proficient use of all social media platforms preferred
Organizational and problem solving skills
Research skills
Detail Oriented
Basic mathematical skills
Enjoys working with people and promoting travel products
