Job Summary:
The Member Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Branch and the staff and must ensure implementation of policies and procedures to achieve credit union objectives. The Member services manager must coach and motivate staff to recognize and fulfill individual and Branch sales and service expectations. Identify and meet the needs of the Credit Union’s existing and prospective members and all functions of the Credit Union.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the branch.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, providing recommendations for promotion and salary adjustment as appropriate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generate new business within branch market for deposit accounts, loans, and cash management.
- Supervise branch staff, including coaching, development, and discipline to help meet sales goals, strict adherence to policies and procedures, and to provide exceptional customer service, with staff level based on branch staffing model.
- Assist in the training and motivation of staff in cross-selling of the bank’s products and services to strengthen customer relationships.
- Answer inquiries regarding accounts (deposits & loans), opening new accounts, offering consumer loans, and assisting with customer complaints.
- Process loan applications; pursuant to authority, policy, and procedure.
- Prepare accurate reports as requested by senior management.
- Handle member complaints and inquiries.
- Comply with all bank policies, regulations, and laws applicable to carrying out duties and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain banking relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and achieve branch targets.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze profit loss statements, and develop strategies to maximize profitability.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three years of experience in the branch with at least one year as an assistant member services manager highly preferred.
- At least three years in sales with a high focus in customer service.
