Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Energy Consultant to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid position that combines work from home with in field inspections. Our company specializes in providing energy services for new and existing homes, offering a variety of services including home energy audits and new construction inspections. The ideal candidate will be committed to continuous learning in this evolving industry. This role requires a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete Home Energy Audits on existing homes and write reports.
- Thoroughly test buildings by collecting data, completing home inspections including attics and crawl spaces, performing air and duct leakage tests, and helping clients comply with various programs and meet code requirements.
- Work independently in the field and communicate findings.
- Utilize energy modeling software such as Ekotrope and Remrate.
- Perform calculations to determine HVAC/distribution system sizing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homebuilders and contractors through exceptional customer service while helping to achieve quality construction and ensuring compliance goals set forth.
- 80% field work inspections and 20% work from home.
- Ability for occasional regional travel typically for single day inspections. (Most common, St. Louis, Wichita KS, and Illinois)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to communicate well with builders, contractors, administrative staff, and other Energy Consultants.
- Ability and drive to work independently.
- Ability to carry equipment up to 50lbs., bend, and climb as the job site requires.
- Reliable transportation between home office and job sites.
- RESNET Rater certification preferred but not required.
- RFI certification preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of Sketchup, Revit, Elite Software, and/or Wrightsoft preferred but not required.
- Experience in building science or residential construction.
- Strong time management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
