What are the responsibilities and job description for the BCA Production Operator position at Central Region Cooperative?
Description
This position will assist the production team in the manufacturing of lawn fertilizer and ice melt products.
Primary responsibilities will be: packaging preparation; driving forklift to move product around the production area and warehouses; load outbound trucks; operation of automated and manual production lines; and general housekeeping/maintenance of equipment, production areas and warehouses.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Be an insurable driver under the cooperative's insurance plan
- Must be or have the capability of becoming forklift certified (training provided)
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. physical weight on a regular basis
- Must have the ability to climb ladders, rail cars, stairs and bins
- May also be required to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in an environment with dust and raw materials used in the production of fertilizer and ice melt products
