As a Tack Distributor Operator this position is to operate a tack distributor truck to spray a tack emulsion on the road surface in front of the paver to help the pavement adhere to the old pavement. This position also helps with laborer tasks when a tack does not need to be distributed.
Requirements:
- Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota
- Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites
- Valid Class B CDL with tanker endorsement
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Maneuver the tack distributor safely and accurately to avoid damage to property, or other equipment
- While operating equipment, maintain clear and effective communication with the site supervisor and team members using verbal and non-verbal hand signals
- Must be able to laborer and run other pieces of equipment (such as a skid loader, broom, box blade, etc.) as needed
- Basic mechanical skills
- Complies with Company Safety Program
- Performs other tasks as needed
