What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRACTICAL NURSING INSTRUCTOR position at Central Tech?
POSITION: Practical Nursing Instructor
CAMPUS: Drumright Campus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instruct students in theory, laboratory and clinical while serving as a professional role model.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Practical Nursing Coordinator
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have current working knowledge of nursing and related subjects, current safe and effective clinical skills. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate and maintain a professional relationship with area health care facilities and their staff, patients and patients’ families in area health care facilities, students and potential students, Central Tech staff and faculty.
EDUCATION: Registered Nurse, licensed in Oklahoma, Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Must have BSN degree plan in place, 15 hours earned, minimum of 6 hours per year until completed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least three years full-time equivalent practice as an RN in a clinical setting, one year of which must be in a hospital, within the last five years. Teaching experience is desirable.
LICENSURE: Unencumbered current OK RN license and possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: July 1, 2024
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 – month contract – Certified/Exempt
