Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery center. As a key member of our team, you will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under the direction of a Physician, promoting positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares patients for exams and procedures, assessing their condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
- Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids according to physician preference cards.
- Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
- Documents records and other forms accurately, adhering to approved policies/procedures.
- Confirms that all individuals in the room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
- Communicates patient status to other staff responsible for care.
- Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by following cleaning, care, storage, and calibration procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
- At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technician, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians (ARRT) is required.
- BLS certification within 30 days of start.
- State Radiology Technician license required.
