Responsibilities:
- Review customer orders and pick tickets to determine glass products, quantities, and specifications required for each order.
- Locate and retrieve glass materials and products from inventory shelves, racks, or storage areas using appropriate handling equipment, such as forklifts or hand carts.
- Verify the accuracy of pulled glass materials and products against order details, including dimensions, colors, finishes, and quantities.
- Package and label glass products according to order requirements, ensuring proper protection and secure packaging for transport.
- Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, and labels for outgoing orders, including accurate recording of product codes, quantities, and customer information.
- Coordinate with shipping and logistics personnel to schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipments of completed orders.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the order pulling area, including proper storage and disposal of packaging materials and waste.
- Communicate any discrepancies, shortages, or damages in pulled glass materials to supervisors or quality control personnel.
- Follow safety protocols, equipment operating procedures, and company policies to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Assist in inventory management activities, such as cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory control measures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; forklift certification or experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in order pulling, warehouse operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with glass products, materials, and handling techniques is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order details, product codes, and shipping instructions accurately.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in pulling, packaging, and labeling glass products.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet order deadlines.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for order processing, inventory management, and communication.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry up to 75 lbs and maneuver heavy glass materials safely is required. There will be frequent bending, squatting, pushing and pulling.
- Must have effective communication skills; bilingual is preferred but must be able to speak fluent English.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in ongoing training and development.
- Overtime will be necessary for this position periodically; the candidate must be able to work overtime if needed.
