Summary
The Recruiter plays an integral role in the organization’s growth by understanding the needs of hiring managers and sourcing the best talent to fill open positions. They are responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing and supporting the fulfillment of open positions. This position also plays an essential role in developing initiatives in support of building the candidate pipeline, attracting qualified workforce talent, creating recruitment partnerships and successfully executing suitable placements for positions.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Source candidates through internal career website, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc. & partners with Hiring Managers on all job postings; builds relationships with Hiring Managers to determine hiring needs and to drive the hiring process
- Use an applicant tracking program (ATS) to manage the selection and onboarding process; maintains accurate documentation to track recruitment efforts, applicant flow, interviews, hires, and other selection and onboarding activities
- Manages end-to-end recruitment and selection: opens job requisitions in ATS and posts on hiring boards, evaluates candidates’ resumes based on job descriptions, schedules phone screens, conducts phone screens to evaluate candidates’ ability to meet company expectations, schedules interviews for hiring managers, makes job offer to candidate, and follows through up to onboarding
- Coordinate interviews for hiring managers and conduct interviews for entry- level positions
- Understand the working matrices, business model, footprints, and various functions throughout the company
- Advertise, attract, source and identify qualified candidates using a variety of channels for open roles based on position criteria
- Assess candidates to ensure qualification match, skills, competencies, character fit, integrity and compatibility for the considered role
- Establish and manage recruiting plans, through consistent communication with senior leadership, to determine the strategic initiatives and forecasts for recruiting diverse talent across the organization
- Use creative and innovative recruitment tactics as well as more traditional methods such as building relationships with community organizations, colleges, employment agencies, and etc. while maintaining legal compliance
- Maintain a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
- Maintain, improve and provide up-to-date open to hire reports, new hire tracking lists, as well as any other reports or tracking methods
- Assist with experience and exit interviews for employees. Provide analysis report to discuss trends and areas of improvement.
- Provide employee turnover and other statistical information to appropriate parties
- Supports diversity initiatives and objectives by attracting diverse talent by building and maintaining relationships with various organizations
- Ensures compliance with all federal and state laws/regulations pertaining to selection and onboarding
- Assists HR in the answering of employment questions; is a policy expert
- Supports activities such as DOT for drivers and Comply with pre-screening DOT regulations
- Other duties, projects, tasks as per business need

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-volume, fast paced management recruitment role preferably in food industry
- Extraordinary EQ skills and ability to match candidates to compatible roles
- High level of empathy and innate love for connecting with people
- Able to deliver results, meet deadlines and targets
- Computer proficiency including knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), recruiting websites, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Ability to perform, work with a sense of urgency as well as maintain professional composure under pressure
- Strong business acumen and market insight
- Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills (verbal and written)
- High level of work ethic, integrity and confidentiality
- Ability to build positive working relationships with hiring managers of all levels
- Exceptional organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of employment law and legislation as it relates to recruitment
- Able to travel and attend business-related meetings and trips
- Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is a plus
- Bilingual English and Spanish is required
