Job Description:
- We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Onshore Automation QA Lead to spearhead our quality assurance initiatives.
- The ideal candidate will be an expert in Katalon Studio, with a strong background in leading teams, designing automation frameworks, and championing a Shift Left approach to quality.
- This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in Katalon Studio, Java/Groovy, API testing, and the Azure ecosystem.
- The ideal candidate should also possess proficient test estimation techniques, strong capabilities in JIRA, a comprehensive understanding of all testing techniques/strategy and posess good communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide and manage a team of onshore QA automation engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Architect, design, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks using Katalon Studio.
- Drive the adoption of Shift Left testing principles by engaging in early-stage testing, participating in design reviews, and promoting quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Work closely with the development team to review and provide feedback on Unit Tests, ensuring adequate coverage and quality at the code level.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs, writing custom keywords and libraries in Java and Groovy as needed.
- Lead the API testing effort, including creating and executing comprehensive test suites for RESTful services and validating data integrity.
- Integrate the automation suite into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to enable continuous testing and faster feedback cycles.
- Manage test automation code and artifacts using GitHub, enforcing best practices for branching, code reviews, and versioning.
- Define the overall test automation strategy, track key quality metrics, and report on test coverage and execution results to stakeholders.
- JIRA expertise and Agile scrum experience, have knowledge in writing SQL
