What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Centrasota Oral Surgeons?
Centrasota Oral Surgeons has an immediate full-time opening (Monday-Friday) for a Registered Nurse in our Saint Cloud office. We are looking for a team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide quality care to patients of all ages. Some travel to our Hutchinson and Monticello offices required. This position offers 9 days per pay period or 4 days per week once training is complete!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including obtaining complete medical history, preoperative preparation of patient and surgical instruments, initiation of IV and sedation medications and continuous monitoring throughout the surgical procedure.
- Directly assist surgeons during surgical procedures, including suctioning, patient monitoring, and airway management during sedation as directed by the surgeon.
- Monitor and assess patients after surgery and sedation. Provide discharge instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Assist in sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments prior to surgical cases.
- Obtain health histories from outside facilities and compile patient health summaries for surgeons to review prior to surgery. Assist patients in scheduling labs, x-rays and prescriptions in conjunction with oral surgery appointments. Communicate preoperative surgeon’s orders to patients, families, primary care providers, and long term care facilities for patients with complex medical histories.
- Assist surgeons in postoperative follow-up appointments.
- Maintain drug, instrument and equipment inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
- BLS Certified, willing to become ACLS Certified

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
