Centria Autism is the largest provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the state of Michigan, with services in 10 other states. Licensed Psychologist Essential Functions:
Position objectives are as follows:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations must rely on various mods of information gathering, including but not limited to:
- Review of educational and/or early interventions, physical, behavioral and long term care health records; and
- Parent or primary caregiver interview for historical information, as well as determination of current symptom presentation; and
- Direct observation of, and interaction with the eligible recipient; and
- Clear consideration of, but ideally direct and/or indirect assessment of multiple areas of functioning, including but not limited to:
- Developmental, intellectual, or cognitive functioning; and
- Adaptive functioning; and
- Social functioning; and
- Speech, language, and communicative functioning; and
- Medical and neurological functioning.

- Comprehensive diagnostic evaluations must be specific enough to adequately assess symptoms associated with ASD, yet broad enough to make a valid differential diagnosis and consider possible co-morbid conditions. As such, the AEP should use one or more standardized diagnostic instruments with at least moderate sensitivity and good specificity for ASD (e.g., The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition [ADOS -2]; Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised [ADI –R]), as well as assessment tools (i.e., standardized assessment measure, interviews, etc.) to evaluate symptoms associated with other disorders.
- Conduct ADOS-II and ADI-R
- Send WSA form, report, and proof of provider choice to adecker@centriahealthcare.com
- All ADOS-II must be signed by a fully licensed psychologist
- Conduct Vineland, Mullen, DAS-II
- Vineland to be completed within 30 days of ADOS-II and yearly, thereafter. Must be completed before day 365 of previous Vineland or child loses eligibility.
- Mullen or DAS-II to be completed within 30 days of ADOS-II.
- Assist in developing corporate structure and in the creation of policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings
- Develop and take on projects to improve client service and satisfaction
- Develop and take on projects to improve employee performance, retention, and satisfaction.
- Develop quality initiatives that will improve referral source satisfaction as measured through number of referrals and subjective survey methods.
- General help to manage office staff for maximum efficiency
- Maintain knowledge of different programs and certifications.

- Building relationships with current referral sources
- Pursuing and building relationships with new referral partners
Additional requirements:
- Contingent Employee agrees to provide access to a google calendar, through which Centria employees can access and schedule clients.
- Travel as needed (Centria to cover accommodations) to provide diagnostic services in other areas
