What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Logistics Department Manager for Retail Distribution Center position at Century Distribution?
Leading Furniture and Distribution Company for a large national retailer is looking to add a trusted and qualified candidate to our already talented Management Team. The right person should be highly motivated, energetic, with a hands on management approach and be able to lead a team of associates in a union setting. The right candidate will report to the Senior Operations manager and be able to meet all productivity and accuracy standards for the department. Knowledge of all facets of warehousing and distribution in a big ticket setting is a plus!! This is a First Shift Position.
The right candidate should also posses the following skills and qualities:
Should be a self starter with excellent verbal and written communication who can work without supervision and lead with positive motivation. Should also have an excellent eye for detail!

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in warehouse management
- Strong background in inventory control and logistics
- Proven track record in supervising and leading teams
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems and transportation planning
- Experience with process improvement and lean methodologies
