What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inspector position at Century Furniture?
Position Summary:
Insect product for defects, ensuring quality before product is shipped.
Position Details:
- Inspect furniture, placing on lift if necessary
- Check ticket for proper information and instructions
- Remove all loose strings, if applicable
- Use air hose to blow dust/fragments off of piece if necessary
- Clean soiled areas using proper cleaner to remove any marks
- Check for bad stitching or seams
- Check for too small or large welt on upholstered pieces
- Check for flaws or scars in material
- Check for proper cushion fit and proper fabric match on upholstered pieces
- Place deck labels and proper hang tag in each piece
- Assemble beds to assure proper alignment
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous inspection/repair experience preferred
