Job Summary
This role supports plant operations by executing a broad range of HR and administrative functions, including maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, addressing policy and benefits inquiries, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The position plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment through daily collaboration with Plant Leadership and team members.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
Administrative Support
- Maintain and update employee data in HRIS and traditional filing systems
- Generate essential HR documents such as new hire packets, performance reviews, etc.
- Schedule meetings, training sessions, other events/activities as needed
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Create and track requisitions with adequate approval(s)
- Assist with tracking candidates in process
- Assist with candidate communication and pre-employment requirements
- Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation processes when needed
- Maintain track of temporary workers
Compliance & Reporting
- Support adherence to company policies and labor laws
- Assist in preparing reports for audits and compliance reviews
- Maintain documentation for OSHA, EEOC, and other regulatory bodies
Employee Relations & Communication
- Assist in responding to employee inquiries regarding benefits, policies, and procedures
- Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs and recognition efforts
Systems & Data Management
- Generate reports on headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics
- Track employee attendance, leave balances, and performance reviews
Other (Non-Essential) Functions
Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.
- Other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of HR administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, laws, and confidentiality standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (up to 8 hours) while working at a desk or computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- Occasional lifting and moving of items up to 20 lbs (e.g., files, office supplies).
