SHIFT DET - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan) A BRIEF OVERVIEW The Operations Technician, Blasting, inspects incoming product, rejects, or approves product; blasts the product. This position requires hands-on craftsmanship and attention to detail. WHAT YOU WILL DO Completes all required training. Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product. Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition. Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead. Follow designated safety rules and regulations. Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives. Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required. Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule. Detect & report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead. Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products Reinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor. Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Use basic inspection gages such as calipers, micrometers, etc. Complete all required documents used during processing and verifies accuracy of documentation. At all times, demonstrate proper handling of medical devices, equipment such as calipers, micrometers, scalpels, and other tools used including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Adhere to all safety rules at all times to ensure a safe workplace by wearing safety glasses in designated areas, proper use and storage of tools (scalpels) and reporting any unsafe condition(s) or practice(s) to management. EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS High School Or Equivalent (Preferred) EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS No previous work experience required (Preferred) Manufacturing Experience (Preferred) Experience working in an FDA regulatory environment.
