Certi-Dry specializes in Water, Mold, and Fire damage restoration. We are a team of hard working men and women who want to ease the stress for our clients that may arise based on one of these traumatic situations. The Mission for Certi-Dry is to be the first responder and trusted adviser to our clients, and to protect, save, mitigate, and rebuild our client’s properties with compassion and commitment through service excellence, by investing in quality personnel with extensive training in disaster management and remediation.
The primary responsibility of this role is process payroll, maintain employee and payroll records and process payroll tax payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify submitted timekeeping information; administer payroll, ensuring proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Investigate and expedite resolution of payroll errors/discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
- Record and process federal and state payroll tax deposits; manage incoming and outgoing W-2 forms to ensure compliance with tax season deadlines.
- Prepare reports for weekly, quarterly, and annual reviews and for all other purposes as needed or requested.
- On-board new employees, collecting all required paperwork to maintain eligibility for employment.
- Enter, process, and maintain up-to-date employee data in the payroll system, including team members hourly pay, salaries, commissions, time worked, paid leave and holidays, tax deductions and withholdings, address changes, garnishments, and other information.
Required Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-3 years experience as a payroll clerk with progressive responsibilities
- Experience in a production environment preferred
- Experience with Quickbooks payroll
- Demonstrated tenacity to investigate and resolve open issues
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet time sensitive deadlines and organize workload with general supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication, portraying a high degree of professionalism
- High level attention to detail with demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Adobe
